Job Description: The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is a quality-focused member of the clinical leadership team that functions at the point of care to facilitate quality patient outcomes for patients and families. The Clinical Nurse Leader is a master's prepared nursing generalist that provides and manages care in the healthcare microsystem. The CNL has 24-hour accountability for the care provided by self and others to whom care is delegated.

Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an approved, accredited school of nursing and completion of a master's degree in nursing with an emphasis on the CNL role. Certification as a CNL. Recent acute care experience. Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience in an acute care setting. Advanced critical thinking skills. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff at the point of care. Must exhibit advanced interpersonal skills both verbal and nonverbal. Self-motivated , must have demonstrated abilities to motivate others. Basic understanding of email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Must be competent in the use of spreadsheets, databases, and graphical portrayal of data and information. Ability to flex work schedule outside of normal business hours to meet the needs of clients.

Preferred Qualifications: CAPD training within 6 months of hire

Licensure and Certifications: BLS certification. Must possess a license as a registered nurse in the state of PA.
