Job Description: Responsible for all aspects of monitoring and obtaining patient financial information and authorizations to ensure eligibility in drug replacement programs. Assists patients in obtaining free or reduced cost care based on financial need.

Minimum Requirements:A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in hospital and/or physician registration, insurance verification and/or medical billing office is required. In addition, must have at least two (2) years of experience in a customer-oriented environment. Must have the ability to: excel in communication skills, both oral and written, with all people; anticipate and understand customer financial needs, document and/or relay patient's needs to appropriate personnel to include physician offices. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, their families, visitors, and/or hospital employees. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be self-directed and able to prioritize duties. Must possess the ability to combine compassion with strong professional skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree; bilingual preferred.

Influenza vaccination is required for all colleagues with patient contact unless medically contraindicated or due to a bona fide religious belief or practice, and is strongly encouraged for all colleagues.
